Write for us
We welcome pitches that make a familiar subject newly understandable for a general reader. Everyday Knowledge suits concise, focused pieces with a clear question, careful context and a useful reason to keep reading.
What we are looking for
Propose an explanation, comparison, history, myth check or occasion-specific read rooted in everyday knowledge. A strong idea has one central point, a distinct angle and a scope that can be handled clearly without specialist advice, hazardous instructions or claims that require fresh statistics.
How to pitch
Use the Contact page to send a proposed title, a short summary of the central idea, the likely category and a few lines about your approach. Mention relevant experience only if it helps explain your perspective. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless we ask for one.
Editorial fit
We look for original work, readable structure, sound sourcing for factual claims and a voice that respects the reader's time. A pitch is not a promise of publication. We may discuss scope, edits and presentation before any work is accepted.
Curiosity belongs in an ordinary day.
We look for the explanation behind the familiar, then make room for its context, caveats and small surprises.
